Q1: What are eyelash extensions?
Who doesn’t dream of waking up with flawless lashes, without that terrible ring of “night-before” mascara under both eyes. With the combination of meticulous craftsmanship and serious passion, our therapists apply a single lash extension or a fan of multiple lash extensions to each one of your natural lashes. This will enhance the length, fullness, and/or thickness of your lashes.
Q2: What type of lashes do you use?
A variety of faux eyelashes. Our lashes are the softest and most lightweight lashes in the market. They do not lose their curl or color. Each eyelash extension comes in various curls, lengths, thickness and colours to give our customers a unique set to complement their eye shape and create their desired look.
Q3: What is the difference between Natural and Xtreme lashes?
There are two different lashing techniques; Natural and Xtreme. Natural lash extensions involves a technique in which one extension is applied to one natural lash creating a perfectly-applied mascara look. Xtreme is a technique in which you are safely applying customized fans of lash extensions using 2-8 super fine, lightweight extensions per natural lash. This technique creates a full and fluffy lash appearance. Because Xtreme lashes are lightweight they can weigh less or equivalent to one Natural lash extension. Both Natural and Xtreme techniques enhance the natural lashes by thickness and length.
Q4: How should I prepare for my Bubble Gum Lash extensions?
Please arrive with a fresh face free of makeup and moisture. New customers should arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled appointment to fill out forms and review all terms and conditions before the lash application.
Q5: What if they get wet?
No problem, dive in girl! As long as you wait 24 hours after your appointment to splash around, water should have no effect on your lashes. We actually recommend that you wash them daily! There are a few things you should avoid though and oil based products are on the top of that list. Any type of oil, natural or cosmetic, will break down your lash adhesive and cause serious lash extension loss. We also want you to be careful to not let salt water or chlorinated water set on your lashes for too long as this can cause premature lash loss as well.
Q6: How long will they last?
Infills are recommended every two to three weeks. We naturally shed 2-5 lashes per day. There are many factors that affect the growth and strength of all hair including but not limited to genetics, cleansing products, seasonal changes, athletic activities and cosmetics. With proper application, lash forecasting, home care, products, and regular lash fill appointments you will prolong the life of your extensions.
Q7: Will they damage my natural lashes?
There is no reason that lash extensions should damage your natural lashes if they have been done correctly. For customers who came from salons displaying “heavy-lashing” techniques that cause breakage and delayed growth to the natural lashes, we will recommend a removal and a lash serum for repairing before adding more lashes.
Q8: Why are they falling out?
This is totally normal and healthy. Our natural lashes shed anywhere between 2-5 lashes a day. Since the extensions are attached to the natural lash, they will fall out together. That being said, lash extensions should be filled/touched up every 2-3 weeks.
Q9: Can I have a reaction?
While reactions are not common, they can occur. If you notice redness/itching, this may be your body adjusting. However if this continues past the 24-hour period, please contact us. Please also understand that depending on the reaction, you may be asked to remove your eyelash extensions to avoid any damage to your skin and natural lashes.
